Juan Carlos Malavé is a Puerto Rico–based creative producer and cinematographer working across institutional, brand and documentary storytelling.

He leads projects from concept through post-production, building teams and shaping visual narratives that balance structured production with a cinematic sensibility. Depending on the scale of each project, he works by assembling dedicated crews or by operating with a lean, hands-on approach.

His commissioned work includes collaborations with organizations such as Social Science Research Council, Puerto Rico Arts Initiative, Departamento de la Comida and Coordinadora Paz para la Mujer.

Alongside his commissioned practice, Malavé develops author-driven documentary projects and works as director of photography on independent films and music collaborations.
